When doing a smokey eye like this, please don’t forget to keep the following things in mind:

• This can (and probably will) get messy. Keep your chill together, and just make sure to keep some makeup wipes handy to clean up any fallout.
• With looks like this, do your eyes first so that shadow fallout doesn’t ruin your foundation.
• The key to not looking like you’ve been punched in the face is to keep the dark shadow below your crease.
• Blending is key with black (or dark) shadows. Blend until you can literally blend no more.
• Every single smokey eye has a really ugly phase. This will look like a complete disaster at some point during your process. Do-not-give-up. Just keep powering through to the end and 95% of the time, it will just all come together.

This was a struggle for me.
I struggled through this.
I actually spent half the day thinking it was total sh*t.
But I take it back.
I ended up becoming really fond of it.
Happy with it.
It’s only because this is out of my comfort zone.
Black scares the living daylights out of me.

Moral of the story;
Practice really does make perfect.
Never quit.
Just “do”!
