I thought I’d give some major recognition to a handful of items that I wouldn’t dare think of living without.
I’ve been using all of these things like crazy, which is just a fancy word for “every single day”…
All of these things have very much become a part of my everyday routine, and I forget too often to give them the credit that they deserve.
These guys are the real MVPs, for truth.
A) Maybelline’s Matte + Poreless Foundation
I picked this foundation up at Fry’s about 2 months ago because I had heard good things about it, sort of.
I think I heard good things about it.
Does anyone else have peripheral hearing?
Well I have that and I’m pretty sure I heard one of the YouTubers I subscribe to mention that this foundation is a good drug-store find so, I purchased it. The YouTuber was thataylaa, by the way.
But anyway, I love this product.
I’m currently using shade #230 Natural Buff but I also use #238 Rich Tan sometimes. It’s full coverage, yet still buildable, and it lasts all through out my day. It does stay pretty matte, considering I have combination skin that’s predominantly oily. It’s only $6-$10 dollars too, which is nice. They have this foundation in a major variety of shades so that’s another win.
B) Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: Custard
This concealer has been my ride or die for the last 6-8 months to be honest. But it’s still my absolute favorite so, here we are.
I went to Sephora last month with every intention of buying the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer but was super disappointed to get there and find out that they were completely sold out of the Medium-Light shade. I had JUST made a freaking Sephora order online too so then I was extra annoyed.
But I couldn’t sweat it because I was 100% out of concealer so there was no time for these games and emotions.
I had a choice to make.
I could spring for a new product, the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer, or stick to what I know is amazing, and repurchase my trusty Radiant Creamy.
I’m sure you can guess how it ended.
It’s just too good. I had to stay true.
C) ColourPop Liquid Lipsticks: Zipper + Trap
The Fall season is officially upon us. These colors are just heaven.
Both of them. I’ll do a separate post for them later this week. They deserve it.
Trap has definitely been my go-to in the liquid lipstick category as of late, and I feel like that says a lot. It’s the perfect neutral but still kind of edgy and purple and grungy looking. You can do a lot with it.
Not to mention, $6 dollars. WHAT?!
D) Ardell Brow Gel: Dark Brown
Who even knew that Ardell made a brow gel?! I saw this product for the first time while I was at the CVS by my house picking up some lashes for the week (I’m a major Ardell lash fan). It was only $7.99 and I really needed some new brow product. My Anastasia Dip Brow was all dried up and on its last leg and I was not impressed with the Milani “dupe”. Ulta was 13 miles away so I couldn’t get the Nyx Pencil…so I made a choice and decided to take my chances. What’s $7.99 in the grand scheme of things? (Don’t ask my husband that question. That isn’t who this is aimed at lol)
HOLY LEGITIMATE, YOU GUYS.
I was so blown away by this brow gel. It’s the real deal. I got the shade Dark Brown and I’m obsessed. I even love the brush/spoolie that comes with.
Solid, solid purchase.
E) Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector: Champagne Pop
I finally decided to splurge and grab the Champagne Pop highlighter before it was all sold out. It’s limited edition so once it’s gone, it’s gone, and let’s be real..there was no way I wasn’t going to get my hands on one.
This highlighter gives me so much life.
This is another item that also just deserves its own blog post. I’m pretty sure you can see me glowing from outer space when I have it on.
A tad pricey but, worth every penny.
F) Nyx Powder Blush: Dusty Rose
This blush is so perfect.
It’s not too intense.
It’s perfectly pigmented.
It lasts forever.
G) Dr. Bronner’s Soap: Peppermint
This soap saves my brushes lives.
I use a little bit of this when I clean them and it always gets them looking so white and feeling so fluffy! A little bit goes quite a long way too. AND it’s a clean product so there aren’t any harsh chemicals in it that are damaging to my brushes.
I normally get the lavender kind but, Summer is over and I decided to go with the peppermint scent.
