Yesterday I wanted to do something that said “I may or may not be (but definitely am) a little excited for cooler seasons but, I’m also still enjoying what’s left of the Summer time”.
I used cool blues and cool browns on the eyes but still brought back the brightness and warmth with a rosy pink blush and mauve colored lips.
I was super heavy-handed.
I’m not sorry for it.

As of late, I haven’t been contouring my face.
Instead, I’ve kind of been doing this combination of contouring and strobing mixed together.
In order to achieve the type of look I’ve been going for this summer, I’ve been mixing the middle contour shade from the Kat Von D Shade + Light Palette with my blushes, and then applying the mixture all over my cheeks (dramatically) like I would apply blush.
It gives my face structure and color at the same time, without looking too structured like a contour, or too colorful, like a clown from the 80’s.
The three blushes I’ve been using for this, are:
• Nyx Cosmetics Powder Blush in Dusty Rose
• Mac Cosmetics Blush in Dolly Mix
and another Nyx Powder Blush that I don’t know the name of, and I don’t have it with me. I’m a terrible blogger, I’m sorry. Nyx Powder Blushes are GREAT though.
It’s Rose Garden. I Googled it immediately after I finished typing the last sentence.
